Beware, because you're about to see the cutest little family of 3, and their family portraits at Minuteman Park in Concord. Troy & Mariya are friends and fellow husband and wife small business owners, so it was a pleasure to create family portraits with them. Their handsome little man is a lady killer already!
As a Concord MA family photographer, this is one of my favorite locations for pictures. There's beautiful shade, the North Bridge and big open fields. For portrait sessions like this, the one year old runs the show. We played and waved and walked through the park.
These pictures will soon have a place in their home as a collection of framed enlargements. Pictures to come next month when their beautiful printed products arrive!
The only thing cuter than a one year old baby girl with blue eyes and red hair is when that baby is your cousin's daughter! I headed to Yarmouth for this little lady's first birthday portrait session. On the move, she didn't want to be slowed down. So we played peekaboo which brought out big belly laughs and beautiful new-teeth smiles.
One year portraits are one of our most popular milestone sessions, on location or at our studio in Bolton - I love capturing the little toes and tiny giggles, big smiles and sweet faces. The start of independence, walking or near-walking, ready to make big moves in this world.
Cuteness alert! One of the best parts of being a wedding and family portrait photographer is continuing the journey with our couples as they grow, from falling in love to a growing family. I've had the pleasure of photographing all of the most important, most beautiful milestones in this family's life, from their marriage in 2013 to the addition of two new little loves.
Here's our most recent session, to celebrate their daughter's first birthday. She is beyond adorable and just as sweet...mama is super intentional with everything she does, and added a new 16x24 canvas and 8x8 portrait album to their home's collection.
"How do you really capture the beauty of a family within one hour?"
We get to know our families, know what fills them with pride and makes their heart full. We also learn about their home, their favorite rooms, and their decor. This helps us make recommendations on where they may most enjoy portraits in their home. Because we know, as parents of two children growing far too quickly, that the days are often long but the years are far too short. And our printed portraits will become our most invaluable treasures one day too soon.
This sweet family invited me to their home in Chelmsford to capture their little love as she approached nine months. It was their first family portrait session, and we celebrated their love with a canvas for their living room and an album for their bedroom. The following are some of the spreads from their album, that show the love and connection of this beautiful little family of 4 (can't forget their first, their pup!).
We offer bite-sized milestone sessions for bite-sized little nuggets like this sweet thing. Its the perfect session to capture her growing personality, plus some love for mom & mean-muggin with dad.
Our Bolton MA family photography studio is all about celebrating moments and milestones with loving family portraits. I'm so excited to share one of my family milestones...my beautiful sister (and The Ewings video assistant!) and brother-in-law are expecting baby #3!
This little family of four just settled into a new home, and with a new baby on the way, it is just the right time to celebrate them as they are now with family portraits. This has been their family for nearly five years.
These little girls light up the room. Sweet Emma and devilishly adorable Olivia.
We laughed and played, and when I settled them into the yard behind their home, they looked at me, laughed and all broke into a run! Hahaha, I love all of their expressions in this one, especially my sis.
Mom and dad never get pictures taken of themselves. But its so important. It helps you remember what this is all about. The start of family, and the love that roots it all. These two work so hard to raise two strong little girls, but the laughs they share keep them connected and more in love today than ever.
One of the benefits to relocating our wedding and portrait photography studio to Bolton MA is incredibly beautiful locations for outdoor portrait sessions, like this one in Lancaster, just minutes from our door.
I'm completely gaga for this sweet family of four, and was thrilled when mom contacted me to schedule a session, in celebration of their ten year anniversary. What a beautiful, lasting way to celebrate this incredible year and their beautiful family.
This year has been our busiest yet, with more families coming to see us for portraits that they can enjoy in their homes. I have so much more to share from this session, but here's one of my recent favorites, with this adorable little family.
A HUGE thank you to Bolton Spring Orchards for allowing us to use their beautiful property for our session!
Lately I've been overwhelmed with gratitude for the life we live. A friend called it "Life by Design." I started my photography business to pursue my passion. I revel in the way a single picture can express so much love, so much happiness. And how it becomes an invaluable treasure.
But today I'm so completely grateful for the benefits it has brought to our family. That I get to work with my husband, my best friend, every day. I get to see him more than anyone else in the world and for that I'm so thankful. That I've been able to chaperone nearly all of Trevor's field trips. That this is a work day:
That I can bring my little Cooper to work with me, scouting a new location and we can make a fun day out of it. (Oceanview of Nahant, by the way - incredible. Check it out. The GM Matt is awesome...Cooper would agree as he left with pockets full of caramels.)
Living with intention. I scheduled time for the venue visit, playtime at the beach, first look/portrait plan development, and lunch in Salem. Business and fun together. All with my favorite three year old.
Its these moments that overwhelm me. As he looks at me, waiting for me to kick off my shoes and join him. I couldn't move fast enough. We hunted for shells and dipped our toes in the freezing water until we couldn't take it anymore and ran back to the warm sand.
We can't ever get these moments back.
I'm grateful that I'm skilled at taking pictures of these moments, and that I will print and hang them on my wall and include them in an album. Because I know these moments are so fleeting. Next year he probably won't hold my hand. A few years down the road he may not even want to come to the beach with mom.
But for today, I have this moment. And for tomorrow, I will have the pictures to remember.

Bria just turned one! We're starting to feel like this little love & her parents are a part of our family. We photographed her newborn portraits, her aunt & uncle's wedding, and now her one year birthday celebration portraits. Her and her sweet parents headed to our new studio in Bolton for her one year portraits and a cake smash. She was so dainty about it, I love it. Here are some of my favorites from our session together.
She's a great sharer...
These are some of my alltime favorite family in-studio portraits. The love and connection in these portraits is what I strive to capture at each and every session. So happy we created these together, to hang on their walls as a beautiful part of their family story.
